2021 Hay & Feed Appeal
Hay and feed is our biggest expense. Help us to feed our wonderful horses and ponies so they can nourish our amazing clients.
Hay and feed are our biggest expenses at the sanctuary. In 2020 we spent $13,773.36 on feed for the horses. With the ongoing drought in so many hay-growing areas, we don’t expect the cost of hay to come down this year – and the cost of other feeds always increases a little every year.
Based on that, we’re budgeting on needing to raise $15,000 for feed alone in 2021 – that’s $32 per horse, per week for our current herd of nine (9) horses and ponies. Any contribution you can make will be of enormous help and we thank you for your generosity.
