Somatic Stretch & Soothe Program

somatic movement program sunshine coast

A gentle movement program for all women – particularly those recovering from trauma

This is a very special program – held outdoors in the grounds of the sanctuary, surrounded by our beautiful herd of  horses.

Your program facilitator, Shianne, will guide your through this gentle, small group program for which no experience or particular level of fitness is needed.  Shianne is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with over ten years’ experience.

Sessions incorporate Mindfulness, Yoga and Pilates practices to teach you how to:

  • control your breath
  • strengthen your entire body
  • improve your balance
  • feel calm, centered & happy

All equipment is provided and light refreshments are served at the end of the class.

The program will be held at the sanctuary (26 Fellowship Drive, Doonan) at 10am every Friday morning from February 3rd until March 24th (8 weeks in total). Scholarships are available this round for those who need them.

The cost for other participants is $40 ($5 per class) payable in advance (we will send you an invoice).

Applications opened on January  12th and within 24 hours we had received twice as many applications than we had program spaces for. We have arranged a second class to accommodate those initial applications and are trying hard to find ways of opening up more spaces. In the meantime, applications have CLOSED.

The next round will start at the end of February so please follow our social media pages and subscribe to our newsletter (subscription box is at the bottom of the home page) to see when applications re-open.

This program and all scholarships have been made possible through generous funding from Program Partner Petspiration Group and grant funding from Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
