Louise Green has entered this work into the 2024 edition of our Seeing the Soul Art Prize and Exhibition and has donated it to the Sanctuary for us to raise funds and help support our mental health programs.

Artist statement: My friend Dannielle and her Paint Horse have an amazing soul connection. I wanted to capture the bond they have, finding solace in each other, whilst working through the challenges of everyday life. Danni survived a serious car accident and was told she would never ride a horse again. She had to learn to walk after a long stay in hospital. Zip is her Heart Horse, who has his own challenges, yet both have gone on to compete in shows, clinics and working equitation together. She has taught him tricks, and I am amazed at their determination and special relationship, while dealing with the ongoing journey of pain, which is reflected in their eyes.

Freight/Delivery: This item will remain at the Cooroy Butter Factory for the duration of the exhibition. We will contact you when the exhibition has finished to arrange collection. If you require delivery, the freight cost will be calculated separately and we will contact you to arrange payment for delivery.
