Julie Field has entered this work into the 2024 edition of our Seeing the Soul Art Prize and Exhibition and has donated it to the Sanctuary for us to raise funds and help support our mental health programs.

Medium: Under glazed ceramic with metal stand

Dimensions: 14cm (W) x 32cm (H) x 14cm (D)

Artist statement: A reminder that life is momentary and to live life well. The horse represents courage, connection and perseverance, and the leaf, the cycle of life. This Petrea leaf was found just outside my studio showing an intricate venation pattern and fragility. My experiment brought me hyper-realism ceramics through the sheer joy of discovery.

Freight/Delivery: This item will remain at the Cooroy Butter Factory for the duration of the exhibition. We will contact you when the exhibition has finished to arrange collection. If you require delivery, the freight cost will be calculated separately and we will contact you to arrange payment for delivery.
