Therese Van Haaster has entered this work into the 2024 edition of our Seeing the Soul Art Prize and Exhibition and has donated it to the Sanctuary for us to raise funds and help support our mental health programs.

Medium: Watercolour on paper

Dimensions: 63cm (W) x 75cm (H)

Artist statement: This artwork was inspired by a magazine photo, showing a horse being shod by a young woman. My interest is painting people, and this subject especially, as it included a horse, and I love horses. The lines and subtle minimalist colour choice portrayed in this scene, make for a pleasing quiet piece, which would look good in any space.

Freight/Delivery: This item will remain at the Cooroy Butter Factory for the duration of the exhibition. We will contact you when the exhibition has finished to arrange collection. If you require delivery, the freight cost will be calculated separately and we will contact you to arrange payment for delivery.
