A gentle small-group movement program for all women – particularly those recovering from trauma
This is a very special program – held outdoors in the grounds of the sanctuary, facilitated by an Exercise Physiologist.
Shianne will guide you through this gentle, small-group program for which no experience or particular level of fitness is needed.
Sessions incorporate individually tailored Mindfulness, Yoga and Pilates practices to teach you how to:
- control your breath
- strengthen your entire body
- improve your balance
- feel calm, centered & happy
The program is held in the garden at the sanctuary and there are multiple rounds throughout the year. All equipment is provided but feel free to bring your own yoga mat and pillow if preferred. Class length is approximately one hour.
About your facilitator
Shianne is an accredited Exercise Physiologist with over ten years’ experience.
We work extremely hard to obtain grant funding to subsidise the cost of programs for our clients. The current subsidised cost is just $15 per class.
To offer more flexibility for clients who are unable to commit to an 8-week program, or are unable to attend every week, we are trialing something a little different for the rest of 2023.
Each weekly class will be listed as a separate ‘event’ on the website. To attend a class, simply buy your ticket online and bring it with you to the class. Please note that tickets will only be available up until 6pm the afternoon prior to the class. Tickets are available from the Events page.
