Alyce Tancredi has entered this work into the 2024 edition of our Seeing the Soul Art Prize and Exhibition and has donated it to the Sanctuary for us to raise funds and help support our mental health programs.

Artist statement: To witness the connection between human and horse is something else. To be in the presence of this love, this compassion, this kindness is special. That’s what I aim to capture in my photos. Here, you can see one the Sanctuary’s volunteers with Cappy. Love. Safety. Trust. Cappy, a rescue horse, knows she is safe here. She knows she is loved. It is a special kind of connection.
